Cuddle day

Some days you just have to forget about the world and cuddle your babies. Today is one of those days. No getting dressed, blankies and suckies allowed. Love these three <3

Emma Bugs Standing!

At 8 months old, this baby girl has perfected pulling up and standing! Any time now she will be walking. So proud of her!

It's these moments...

Kennedy is in an awful mood this morning. Crying, temper tantrums, wanting this and that but nothing is making him happy. We were all playing on the floor (Kennedy, Dylan, Emma and I) and Kennedy got up, grabbed his blankie, found a hidden suckie (they only get them at bed time now) and went to the couch to be by himself. He was there for about 5 minutes when all of a sudden Dylan went over to sit with him. Dylan sat down right beside him and said in a little voice "hi". He then gave Kennedy his sippy of milk. Kennedy gave it back and went to the other side of the couch. Dylan followed, sitting right beside him again. They both has some kind of a conversation that only the 2 of them can understand, but Kennedy started to get in a better mood after they spoke. It's times like these that I feel truly blessed to be a mom of identical twins. I will never fully understand just how strong their bond is but I love to see the proof of it each and every day.

Colouring with the Babes :)

At this point in time, the boys still don't get the concept of colouring. They know colour comes out of the markers, but they prefer to eat them. This day, I needed something to keep them busy so I gave them Crayola Window Markers to colour on their trays with. It turned out to be sooooooo messy! But, they had fun and that's what matters!

Dylan looks like he is getting in trouble in this picture! As you can see, they both thoroughly enjoyed eating the window crayons!

Dylan's dirty!

Kennedy's having fun!

Kennedy's masterpiece!

Dylan's final art piece!

Caught in the act!!

We have been having problems with the boys keeping their diapers on for months. Its gotten so bad that we actually have to TAPE their disposables shut at nighttime. The cloth diapers we use have snaps on them to shut them. We did have ones with velcro, but of course the boys figured out how to rip them off very easily. Here is a picture of Kennedy sitting on the ground with Dylan's diaper in his hand! Kennedy took off his brothers diaper for him!!! These 2 are quite the pair!

**Dylan will thank me for the heart covering his little bum!

Monkey Butts!

There is NEVER a dull moment in our home. I'm pretty good at catching the boys being monkeys on camera, but there are so many other events that I miss. Here are a few pics of the boys being...well...boys!

Climbing on the table and chair to get into trouble!

A Tupperware explosion!

Spitting their milk in to another container..this is an ongoing battle we have. For whatever reason, they love to spit out their milk. Fabulous.

Our first stomach flu :(

We have been so lucky with the boys getting sick. They have only ever had 1 cold. We had the whole Salmonella experience but other then that, and a few odd fevers, they have been pretty healthy. Until this night. Kennedy started with the stomach flu first. I will spare you all the details, but it was the saddest thing. He was so scared right before he got sick. It broke my heart. Dylan started the next day. It lasted about 3 days total and we all got zero sleep. Emma was such a trooper through it all. She was OK sleeping in her basinette so Momma could take care of the boys. I did capture a few pics through it. Here is one pic of the boys cuddling with Daddy D. There are also a couple bath pics. I made the boys homemade Gatorade Popsicle's and let them eat them in the bath. They weren't too crazy about them...they don't like eating cold things. I know its inevitable that they will get sick like this again..I just hope its not for a long, long time. Oh...and Emma and I didn't catch it! I think Emma was safe because she is still exclusively nursing, and I took Coconut Oil and Organic Manuka honey when I felt it coming on, and I didn't actually get sick. Amazing!

Homemade Play Doh!

What better way to spend a chilly February night, then to make some homemade Play Doh with the boys. I used the recipe here and it was very easy and fast to make. The boys liked it alright. They enjoyed eating it which made me sick to my stomach because it is so salty! They didn't mind though. We also made a hand print each to keep. They also enjoyed putting it back in the storage containers and passing them back and forth. Tons of fun!

Stats!

We took all 3 babies to get vaccinated last night. It went pretty good. It took about 2 1/2 hours for them to get everything done. While we were waiting Dallas, Emma and I were sitting on a couple chairs (I was wearing Emma in the Moby) and the boys were leaning against a coffee table.Dylan was trying so hard to climb up onto the table but he couldn't quite reach. Big brother Kennedy grabbed Dylan's bum and gave him a boost so he could get up! Then Kennedy joined him of course! I swear to you...these boys are giving me grey hairs already!

Emma 2 month stats...
Weight  13lbs 11oz
Height  23"

Kennedy 19 month stats...
Weight 28lbs 4oz
Height 32 1/4"

Dylan 19 month stats...
Weight 27lbs 12oz
Height 32 1/4"

Here is a recent pic of all 3 of our beautiful babies!

Here is a pic of Emma in the Moby...a Moby is a cloth wrap that you  use to wear your baby. I use the Moby daily with Emma. When she is fussy or when I need my 2 hands I put her in the Moby and she usually falls asleep instantly. We also use it when we go out. Emma doesn't have an infant car seat...she has a 3in1 that stays in the car so I wear her in the Moby. I LOVE it...and I wish I had one when the boys were little. You can actually put 2 babies in it. I have used the Moby with Dylan the other day. Its good for up to 35lbs!

Emma Bug's first smile.

This girl lights up my world. There is nothing more precious then a baby's first smile. I was lucky enough to catch it on camera. This girl is my everything.

Our Christmas Photo Shoot!

I could totally sugarcoat this experience and say that all 3 kids behaved great and that we got *just* the right picutre...but I won't! Here is what really happened...

Apparently Emma didn't want to dress up like a snowman...

...and the boys really didn't want to keep the snowman hats on...

*gasp* QUICK!! They are sitting still and wearing the hats!!! Take a pic!!! Who cares if its blurry!!

...and the hats come off again...

*sign* putting the hats on again...

...lets try not to hit sister with the candy canes...please!!!

WOW! Group pic with daddy and all 3 babies  have hats!!! Daddy looks so tired!

Group pic with momma...we gave up on the hats at this point!

At the end of the day, its all about making memories. I will always remember this night with 3 babies under 2 years old. They will never be this little again. I will remember how cute they were wrestling with us to get a picture. I will remember every laugh every giggle and every little cry. I love our family. We are truly blessed!
